School tours
We know how Important it is to have fun when learning a new sport and that’s what we focus on during our school tour session. Our qualified instructors will make sure the students are having a great time in a fun and safe environment while they are with us. The minimum age for our school tour is 10.
What to Expect
Arriving 30 minutes before your tour starts, we will kit you out in wetsuit’s and buoyancy aids to ensure everyone is nice and warm and of course safe. We will break the group down into smaller pods for their learner session and then hit the water as quickly as possible.
Once everyone has mastered how to paddle and be safe, we bring the whole group together for some fun on the water. The groups is out for as long as possible, generally this is about 2 hours.
When they are finished, we grab all our gear back and then you can have lunch on the beach or in the picnic area beside us. Chat to us about helping organise hot chocolate from the local coffee truck to warm their bellies.
GettIng here
Most local bus servIces know where we are and we have a key for the car park barrier so ask them to give us a call to arrange entry. We are roughly 20min from Westport and 5min from Louisburgh.
AccessIbility
Paddling with a disability is not as much of a barrier as you might think, and there are easy adaptions that can be made. Instructors will work with you to find out what you want to achieve and to get you there. It would be best if you can pre communicate any needs you have and together we will ensure you have an awesome time with us! During June/July/August the beach has access to a wheelchair friendly buggy at the lifeguard hut.
Other actIvities
Louisburgh is a hub for adventure and other local activities include surfing, horse-riding, hillwalking, foraging, kitesurfing, fishing, pier jumping, beach games – get in touch and we can point you in the right direction if you want to add more to your day.
